Roads Less Traveled A Three Day Ride to Nowhere.
Roads Less Traveled A Three Day Ride to Nowhere.
(Its not the destination but how you get there that makes it all worthwhile)
I went for a random ride. I had no plan other than knowing that at some time Id meet up with OzzyAL (who Id never met before) and then at some time, somewhere,
Id meet up with friends returning from a trip.
It is the start of spring here and the weather can be unpredictable and variable. As it turned out it wasnt variable it was crap all the time! My random ride often consisted of going in any direction - trying to keep in front of a big black cloud that wanted to drop storm rain and hail on me. < Having said that the weather here was bad I guess that for some of you Brits or NZers, for you, it would have been a good summers day
>.
The trip covered the states of northern Victoria and southern New South Wales.
A map is here Melbourne VIC to Melbourne VIC - Google Maps
A Google fly over is here .. Melbourne VIC to Melbourne VIC - Google Maps (Click on "3D" to the right of "Driving directions to Melbourne VIC". Scroll down to "M" item 148 for interesting ride.)
A few snaps follow but I bundled a lot into a
Picasa video which is here Picasa Web Albums - Naga - Roads Less Tr...
(better quality if you download it it seems to stutter sometime when viewing on line I dont know why first time I used this feature).
Lastly, Id like to thank OzzyAL (and family) for their great hospitality they gave me a bed and fed me when I stopped over. Its sensational how we can meet people through this forum and they will welcome you into their homes and lives just because we ride a CBR1000F. Just Great!

Thank you so much for sharing that trip with us! That is surely some beautiful country you rode through and OzzyAL's den is just so cool! I showed your slide show to my wife and told her I wanted to go there, but all I got from her was the evil eye
W0W! Great Job man! I like the tune as well. One thing though, the text needs to stay up about twice the amount of time (at least) it is now. Looks like a really good time you had.
I cracked up when I saw the cows! The look on their faces was hilarious.

You're right mate. First time I used Picasa to make vid. The text stays up OK on original but not on replay. Picasa is simple but dumb - you can't change the text display times. Won't use it again.
