I'm sure I'd be towing mine too. Biking is great but on LONG hauls, I'd rather have less atmospheric intrusion, if you know what I mean. Plus satellite radio, cushy seat, drinks, snacks, and all my crap. Plus it is easier to nap.
.. trailer ?? pffffffffffttt..........!!!!!

CB2CBR : Anyone interested in the Two Wheeled Terror of Telico Plains part duex at that time?
Gonna order up some photo's (digital) myself this week-end ....... we can all horse trade later.
Ya know Joe .............. I'd love to see Shadow or Classic plant their " olde *****"
on their bikes for more than 10 hours .............reckon they'd have to be hoisted off
'em at the end and resuscitated with some Captain & Coke ....or JB ready mades LOL

Many years ago I rode to a golf course on my bike (my friend took my clubs in his car earlier). I had to be there at a certain time. I hadn't been back to riding for very long, and it was a very long way with a lot of heavy traffic, When I finally got there, without a break, I got off the bike and couldn't even hold it up. I didn't golf very well either. I've always been a sprinter rather than a distance runner

Did over 850 miles in 12 hours a couple of years ago - 4 fuel stops (I think) a cold pie and a couple of cigarettes. I was tired, sure, and went to bed early.
Rode back two days later, took a couple of hours longer, got off, had supper, etc etc.
So don't tell me older guys can't hack it Sprocket.
No trailer, no Garmin, no sweeties to munch on the seat next to me, no speed control, no coolerbox, and no company.
Pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffftttt ttttttttttttttttttttt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I regularly do over 400 in a day when visiting friends here.
I'll ride your wheels off anytime, Lobsterman.....................!!!!!!
And I'm sure you'll get the same from Steve when he sees this.
Wotta wussie !

I once rode my 250cc trail bike 20 hrs interstate and back to watch a club race that a mate was entered into ..
Me and Kerri quite often do 5-6 hrs day rides with no problem and she is a supper ***** on the bike ....
I cant wait to see what Pete says to that statement ...I know what he has done in the past and in what weather he has done it in too ...!!!
Yu shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house Mark ..
Hows does 7000klms / 4200miles in 5 days straight carrying a full load and me misses cut it for yu ...???
and don't get me wrong ...om not hanging chit about yu trailer Mark ... but some of us have very long history's of very long trips across country and never used trailers ...
and as I said mate , it is everyones individual choice as to how they travel on bikes ...
me , om a get on and go ...no fuss , little planning , and ****ing gone !! LOL
....and I do not avocate that anyone else take or use my ****ed up travelling methodology either ..
