Gents- I have attended this event the last 5 years. The museum, by itself is worth the treck, but the Vintage Festival is over the top. I usually travel thru Deals Gap/Smoky Mts. on the way there. Camp at the track and tour the museum and grounds during the weekend.
This year I propose a group ride to/from the event. I have only seen one other 1KF at the event, other than the one in the museum. We should get our numbers up! If nothing else a group meet up would be fun and do a group pic in front of the museum.

 

Great idea for a meetup. If I were closer, I would attend. Having been there b/f, I def agree that its an event & museum to remember. Hope you have a great time.

so where exactly is it to and from? you see, i go to smokey mtns riding on the regular and i just hang out in the deals gap area and kinda skip around all the little towns in the area and talk to all kinds of people and make a day or two outta it. if i know when you will be coming through i can plan my visit there at the same time and do some riding together with peeps from here.

 

The trip plan is open ATM. I normally put the Dragon on the front on the way there but if it works for the group I can make it after the the Vintage weekend. Those interested should make a preferance known so we can see who needs what. If it's just the meet up at the Barber Motorsports track then maybe a moot point. So sound off and lets put this together.

 

Just a bump here. We are about a month or so out so start soundin off.
