Video from my first race weekend of 2007
Last lap battle for... third, in the unlimited superbike race. I'm the second rider, in red leathers, going into the white flag lap. Riding an '03 cbr600rr, other rider is on an '05 R6. First and second place finishers were on gsxr1000s, so, they checked out first time we got on the long straight.

RE: Video from my first race weekend of 2007
thx for the positive comments. i didn't think that i'd be able to make the pass. it was kinda scary, i had to open the throttle really early exiting the long right hander and get on the brakes really late off the straight.
anyways, it was small grid. last race of the day so most people didn't want to race. had 8 riders line up for the race. first and second place were way the hell ahead and the rest were pretty far behind.

Nice work. Do you have a performance mod list for your '03 anywhere? Looks great.

On the suspension side, Ohlins internals in the forks and an Ohlins steering damper. Stock shock that has been revalved. Again, if I continue to race the bike through next year, I'll replace the stock shock with either a Penske or an Elka. I did, however, drop the front end 10mm and running the shortest wheelbase I can. This is for faster turn-ins and transitions. Also, it keeps the bike from wanting to stand up under trail braking; I believe this is a function of the combination of bike and tires that I'm running.
I'm running -1 on the front sprocket and +2 on the rear sprocket. I could gear lower, but, that would cause me to use 2nd-6th. The track is very busy, so, I geared the bike to use 2nd-5th to save an extra downshift off the straights.
Lastly, I replaced the stock front brake master cylinder with a Brembo radial pump master cylinder. And, I'm running Ferodo race pads.
