Racing 2010
Nice end of race for Superbike. Got to see some other talent fighting for position.
As for SuperSport, thats why I don't place bets
... Supersport was pretty good. Cardinez was great. Awesome ride for him. I was very suprised how cool and calm he was.
The one thing I can say about the sportbike class.... I no longer have any respect for Eslick. His antics should get him fined and a DNF in that race. Even if he has issues with Herren, there was absolutely no reason for the way he raced. Herren made every pass with respect to the other riders, but Eslick was just a douche. I've seen Eslick ride aggressive, but this was not aggression, this was plain and simple vengeful stupidity. The real problem that I have with it is Eslick ealier in the year, was bitchn and complaining about other riders for doing what he did, in fact fighting to get other riders DQ'd... then he goes and does the same type of riding he's been complaining about? and some how its ok? I don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but I can't understand why the dislike for Herren. After the way Eslick was acting, I think it was plain and simply that Herren is a better, more respectful rider, and it pisses Eslick off. either way, I think Eslick lost a few more fans. For a guy who says he is going to prove to everyone that his bike last year wasn't unfair, and he is a great racer.... he didn't show it. He just reinforced what many have already said about him.

JSquid, Ditto!!! Eslick tried to say Herren was leaning on him. To me it looked like a block, & I agree he should receive some type of punishment. The sport is already dangerous enuff not to add everytime someone trys to pass you bump 'em. I do think Eslick showed he is a good rider thru the season, because I know I didn't give him much credit as the Champion riding the Buell, last year. 2010 AMA season was A LOT BETTER than 2009, no doubt!!! I hope 2011 Honda & Kawasaki will return & make it a lil more interesting.
We still have one more weekend of WSBK, quite a few guys will be fighting for seat next year, so still should be fun. I know to most dislikes, I hope Pedrosa battles back to make the last few MotoGP races exciting.
WOW!!! Just watched WSS race in Imola, Italy, man, I thought AMA SS was exciting. Sufoglu & Laverty really battled to the end... Won't be a spoiler.

MotoGP update... There goes my hope for a Championship run...
A jammed throttle caused a crash that ended Dani Pedrosa’s hopes of winning the 2010 MotoGP world title in Japan today. The Spaniard was violently thrown from his factory Honda RC212V machine in the early stages of this afternoon’s opening practice session at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit. The 25-year-old suffered a badly broken left collarbone. I hope some of the other guys step up to push Lorenzo & that he still rides hard.

I still have no idea what happened with Hayden and Spies though. they both ended up off track and lost any chance of placing well. Of course, Hayden really had a hard time getting his bike up to speed anyway, so I think he would have been happy with a top ten finish.
As for Pedrosa. I dont think he had a chance of taking the championship away from Lorenzo anyway. Lorenzo would have to do so bad in every race, which just isn't a likely thing to happen. But as much as I dislike the guy, I feel bad for him. Anytime a rider suffers an injury, it takes them a long time to fully recover. They may physically heal fast, but the time down and mental damage can be a long process to overcome. There surely would have been two Honda's on the podium, and maybe even 1 and 2.
This week looks like it may be a battle in Maylasia between Lorenzo & Rossi. Pedrosa is sitting this round out which means Lorenzo is pretty much the 2010 Champ. So like in Japan, the Doc & Lorenzo may take the gloves off.... Plus maybe some of the guys without a ride next year might step it up...

So Boner does it again. I really wonder what his future will be in MotoGP if he can't stay on the bike. I know the Honda is suppose to be more forgiving than the Ducati, but if he can't put it together when he's on the Honda, I couldn't see him being in MotoGP very long.
Very impressed by Rossi. He is definately back. I'm glad to see he will be 100 percent to take on the Ducati for next year. Im also pretty pumped for the Rossi/Hayden duo again. I think they are going to be fantastic together.

My ptredictions that Hayden won't be around on a factory team after Ducati. Rossi of coarse will have developing to do on the Duc to suite him. The Honda camp will be tense. Stoner will be second fiddle to Pedrosa. But now that Honda has two small riders and of coarse the bike is designed for midgets so who knows time will tell. I think though the two that need to be watched will be Lorenzo and Spies.
You bring up an interesting point about the Lorenzo and Spies. However, although likely, I don't think Spies' deal is done yet. This IS becoming a team sport. 2011 will be exciting.
