Not looking good in AMA & FIM
I was at the Honda dealer Wednesday...U know what their marketing scheme is: The bike is going to have street cred when riders find it can beat a Stock G1K....then Suzuki in 2009 is going to make a POS to try and beat it, thereby securing Honda on top in sales again.
Far fetched IMHO.

I'm not sure if the parts have finally arrived or the track just suited the rider, but the Honda Hannspree WSBK team had the strongestoffering despite the finishing results. If anyone watched the race you couldn't help but believe that Carlos Checa and team provided the spectators with perhaps the best spectacle of what happens when you come from 4 seconds or more behind the leader to going for the win in the last corner....all or none....only to finish 5th after crashing.......R U KIDDING me???? Clearly Carlos and the HONDA stack were the fastestduo on the track! My hats off to the Hannspree team for this past weekend but look forward to the remaining races to support my belief that 2008 should be Honda's year to reclaim the title.
+2 This past weekend in Spain looked GREAT for Honda with the Super Sport & Super Bike. Yeah, the results should have been better, but I did like the improvement in the race results. I'm hoping these improvement will be seen in AMA. I would @ least see Honda be in the hunt for a 1st place finish instead of is it gonna be Spies or Mladen all the time.
Yes Checa looked Awesome, I wonder why the AMA bikes aren't competitive? We (Honda) look'n good MotoGP also. Hope as the AMA season goes Honda will get some podiums.
I saw the highlights of the end where Yates overtook him. My cable went out and my PVR was recording static in the middle of the FX race and all of the Superstock race. :-(
As far as WSBK and AMA bike, the rules are different, but I think the AMA squad should take more direction from the HRC bike again. I suppose egos are at stake and the Am. Honda squad needs to prove they can make a superbike as good as a FX bike.

I just watched the AMA FX & Stock races & both were pretty entertaining. I hope Corona Honda will stay competetive. Damn J. Hayes just has the Worst luck... Still Super Bikes is a 2 man show.
