agreed! not sure what happened to lorenzo toward the end, but it was absolutely refreshing to see the duc's not drop out mid race. Dovi definitely gave Rossi a good run!
Also wondering how it would have been with marquez in the mix up front. he was slowly catching up, but his lap times didnt seem fast enough for him to really walk away from the front, if he were there.

That's the thing, how many times in the last 2 yrs did we see him come back and win? Didn't he win one of the San Marino races from the back last year? It was as if nothing mattered, MM93 was going to win if he was on the track...

I think its telling he never bridged the gap to the leaders. And I'm so happy the Duc didn't fade. Both of them were on the podium, and Yonny really did well considering the spec ECU.

And what does everyone think of the Pedro situation?

Duc's view of the front may be short lived. The package they are running will be reviewed after they get a win, two seconds, or ( I can't remember how many) thirds. After 2 podiums on the weekend, changes could come after the next race. Or not.

It was nice to see some fresh faces up front and a close race up to the end. Even though its amazing how a rider can disappear at the front and dominate a race, it makes for a boring race.

I think Marquez would have checked out if he was up front. The distance he made up, in traffic, was impressive. He just ran out of laps to catch the front pack.

fun race.
thought Lorenzo was gonna take it.
love the W for Rossi but I'll predict a battle between Lorenzo and MM for the title.
Crutchlow in for Pedrosa could be interesting tho. does it happen?

Demon, I thought they were on the same tires for that race and were only using 22 liters of fuel instead of the 24 they were allowed. I'll have to find that article, but I think it was during an interview with Rossi.

Either way, Austin should be fun considering the Duc speed. It'd be great to see something besides a Honda on the top step there, too.

Wait, this is a Honda forum?

I thought they were using softer tires too.

I heard stoner was coming back at some point. Anyone know more about that?

Wow! What a great race, edge of the seat stuff.

Looks like Ducati are on the rise, they'll loose the concessions they have, but it looks like they will still be competitive. The first thing they loose is the extra fuel, but they don't use it anyway and they were on the same tyres as everyone else for the race.

At leasts there's going to be a race on this year

IIRC, he's confirmed for the Suzuka 8 hr on one of the Honda teams (not Legends).

It seems to me he's regretting retirement, at 30, and who wouldn't, right? It makes me wonder if he's going to try to make a comeback at GP.

Didn't Repsol just have a seat open up? Wildcard ride announcement coming in 3...2...1...

That's what I was thinking. He was doing repsol testing and now with Dani's medical issues (conveniently).....

Marquez and Stoner on Hondas!!!! Holy crap that's a strong team.
