What u think bout the ICON/alpinestars knee/leg armor
I got the ICON knee armor and I like 'em. I got 'em for xmas and I've only worn them once riding, not because they are uncomfortable or anything, it's 'cause of the Michigan winter!! But last weekend it was mid-60s so I finally got to get the bike out and ride. I'd have to say that they are really comfortable to wear, and if you wear loose/baggy boot cut jeans people would never even know that you were wearing them underneath. The outer shell is made of hard plastic and the inside is pretty soft and on the knee portion there is a cut out that surrounds your knee cap that adds to the comfort of these things. I would recommend them, the only downside is that they are kinda pricey compared to the Alpinestars knee armor.

well...i don't like riding in jeans nor icon stuff...but check this out...our ride group went out for a ride, **** was too antsy and newb and tried to keep up and went left center and hit a car! but thank God not head on...side swipe so his knee and bike smashed against the driver door of oncoming car. knee all jacked, bike all jacked....etc...but according to what doctor said...the amor prevented further damage, such as blowing up the knee and preventing it from getting crushed completed...
so it's better than nothing mang! but in a slide...your pants will be gone and then you slide on whatever you gots on the armor, and nothing will keep it in place other than the straps, so really soon, you're sliding on asphalt...smell the skin burning mang!
