What type of gloves do most wear?long/short
I am looking at new gloves and can not decide between the full length gauntlet design or the shorter designs. Which ones are better for street riding while offering great protection? Most of the guys I see around here seem to wear the shorter gloves. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Aaron

I prefer gauntlet style and like Alpinestars GP Plus for the street and GP Tech for the track...
I fear road rash, so if I go down and my sleeve slides up I'll have less chances of getting burned! Most gauntlet style gloves have armor or padding in the wrist area, because any extra protection is good for me!
With gear, I always choose whats the most protective...after all, if you have a high speed crash wearing a sleeveless shirt, no gloves and shorts, you would too.

Do you know Held Phantom? In Germany they are well-known and they are excellent quality!
They are made of kangaroo and ray leather.
But I don't know whether you can find them in the USA, too....

I gots to agree with tribal. I could not see myslef wearing those long gauntlet gloves in the summer. I wear the Joe Rocket Nova in orange during the warm wheather they proved good protection but are also nice and light and during the colder wheather because New York gets alittle chilliy before you have to put the bike away I wear the Joe rocket Nitro or something like that. They are very comfortable and very ware with thinsolate and feels like fleece inside of them.

i wear the icon superduty gloves they are short, year round but i don't really like to wear gloves but after i had my wreck and my hands got all rashed and scraped up, i decided i needed to be wearing something, and the more i wear them the more i'm getting use to them the throttle doesn't even feel the same without my gloves now.
