Majority of what I've owned has been Icon.

Currently...
Icon helmet
Speed and Strength To the Nines textile jacket (replaced an Icon jacket)
Icon Street Angel gloves
Alpinestars SMX-5 boots

I owned a Shark helmet for all of an hour before I had to return it.

How do you like those icon boots? I've read reviews on the taller ones and a lot of people complained about the fit.. I guess they are narrow in some places.. I think they might work for me, my feet aren't that wide.. Also, they have quite a bit of a wedge to them, not sure how that would interfere with the functionality.. Might help me touch the ground a lil better. They are very cute. I don't have any boots.. I like these if you're going for the power ranger look: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...T.ac=SLIsearch

Plus they match my plastics. And I want to go to blackhawk farms raceway sometime! When I get into some money again there are lots of things I will buy. haha First on the agenda should probably be to fix the crazy oil leak my bike has developed.

Not brand loyal. I'll buy whatever looks good and suits my budget. My leather jackets and pants are Joe Rocket because I found a great deal on them. I want an Alpinestars jacket but can't warrant the $550 price tag.

I do like Icon alot, i have a SHIFT jacket only because i got an awesome deal on it! ($50) but i'm open to all brands, haha as long as no one is mixing H-D and GSXR or Honda and Kawasaki! haha nothing against it but in that case wear what you ride!

I have the black ones. I liked the white ones, but I didn't want to have to worry about them getting dirty, etc. I'm a Puma fan and to me they seem to be a similar look. I haven't gotten to ride far with them yet, I only got a quick couple block ride in last week. So far they're good. It felt a little funny on the shifter, but I think it's just going to take some getting used to.

To me the fit is good, I had to go down a size from my normal shoe size. They feel just a little loose in the heel, but snug everywhere else. This is the first pair of boots I've had so I guess maybe I don't know exactly how they should be. So far I've totally recommend them, though.

Only bad thing I've noticed so far is there is no traction, at all, which wasn't exactly comforting on a wet garage floor.

Too bad Chicago Cycle is gone so I can't try some boots on when the time comes...

I wonder if you could put something like this on the bottom of your icon boots:

dr. scholl's non-slip grip pads for heels and boots.. actually, I don't know if they make those anymore, but my mom had them before and I just saw them on amazon.

Try DGY in Downer's Grove. I was bummed when I found out Chicago Cycle was closed cause I didn't think anywhere else would have them. DGY had my Alpinestars and at least three or four other womens boots.
