Default time to look for new gear

hey guys...i finally got myself a new car, since i totalled my old one the day before my motorcycle crash...so my next step is to look for some new gear...in case it decides to get above 30 degrees anytime soon..

i need a new helmet, jacket, and pants, and maybe gloves too...

i dont have alot of money, so i dont need any flashy stuff...just good protection...i will NEVER again wear just textile...so i need some leather(imagine what wouldve happened to my arm had i been going more than 30-35mph)

i want a DOT and Snell approved helmet, either blue or black in some way(gotta match the bike, haha)

also, i would like a leather jacket and pants that have a zipper in the back to zip together, as i think the 2 piece seems to b the best option for me, i want something i can wear over my street clothes when im commuting/hanging out...but also something that can give me good, comfortable protection for rides...im not too worried about keeping me warm, bc i can layer up...but i would like something breathable to try to keep me cool in the summer...

and anyone have any ideas for good gloves? i dont really need new ones, but if i can get a good deal on some nice ones, ill go for it

so if anyone has any ideas/opinions/hookups...lemme kno, thanks a bunch! [/align]

And maybe some gloves??
Deffently need gloves..
Leather cost's a lot new...
the only thing I can say is keep an eye on the classifieds.
I bought a jacket from honda great just great fits perfect and i Love the new smell as well as boost and pants.
Now its time for the Racing suit prolly 800 bucks for something decent.
Post up what you get when you buy it

Dont get too skimmpy on your leathers get quality still. Go try some on if you can. They all fit a little differnt here and there. If you want to wear leathers properly your not going to be comfortalbe wearing jeans under them IMHO. I had a fall as well and switched to full leathers this year. Im two piece. o yea and your going to need boots. Anything else with leather just plain feels wierd. When you get them put em on and were them around the house to the store yada yada break in time is a must. Mine sucked *** the first time I jumped on a bike. Super tight. I felt like a rusty robot in em.
