Newbie here, picking up my bike Saturday (white/silver '07 RR)
Most of ya probably won't dig this helmet, but i'm kinda feeling it myself. I wanted something matte black with subtle coloring. I like this style and 13 is my favorite number lol.. it's just a lot of red. Anyways, more seriously, the vents on these Icon helmets... do you get much or more noise inside the helmet from airflow??
Found a good deal on one of these online that just had a couple of scratches, may pick it up. I like the colors but it's a pretty 'aggressive' looking helmet design wise.

Not for me but everyone likes different stuff. I have heard that they are a bit noisy. Could be total rumor though.

 

I think it looks cool, looks like it would be noisy though.

HJC had a flat black I thought? Check into that. I've liked the 3 hjc's I've had.

They've got a pretty sweet carbon fiber helmet too.

 

is that a spoiler? looks nice, but yeah maybe noisy, depends on you.

 

Ask to road test a couple of brands before actually buying....Been riding on the road for 20+ years,found "SHOEI" to be the best for no noise..........my other is a "KBC",Which is up there with the Shoei.

 

the more vents like that the nosier it will be. most brands have a matte black model now too. and the #13 represents the letter M, as in motorcycle

 

No problem with the general design, it's kinda cool. The only thing that bugs me is the spoiler thing on the back. How do you not CONSTANTLY grab on to that? I th ink I've actually heard that they're quite fragile as well.

 

Me too. I like the graphics ~ not the helmet design though.

 

Yah the spoiler I don't care for, and the "TOUGH LUCK" or whatever that says on the chin I'm not a fan of.. But the I talked myself into getting the 'scratched' one off ebay. Buy It Now was only 225.. hard to beat. It was from a dealer who had it on display, had a tiny hair line scratch on the lower right side in the black. Barely noticable. It'll serve the purpose for now. Hopefully the noise won't be too bad. Most of my riding was always done with a skull cap/shell helmet anyways so having not ridden with a full face helmet much, I may not notice excessive noise.
I think it'll match the bike good, probably going with some red rim tape to add some more color to the bike, tie things all together

the spoiler is not something to hold onto...it will break andicon even tells you that. I have the icon fusion helmet, I like it, but it is a bit noisy.
