Default Shoei's white forehead label - is it a sticker?

I am a long-time Shoei wearer and I just bought a new X-eleven. This is my first Shoei to have the white semi-rectangular label on the forehead with "Shoei" in black. All my others had the letters painted on individually.

Here arethe questions: Is the white Shoei forehead label a sticker? Is it applied under or on top of the clearcoat? Can I remove it without causing something uglier? Has anyone done this? How were the results?

Yikes. That's a pricey lid to be cutting up. On mine at least, SHOEI is a decal, underneath the final clear. I think I'd sooner cut out my own forehead than do what you're talking about to my Rainey. []

If it's under the clear, I'll leave it on. I was hoping it was applied afterwards and I could just peel it off.

Again, this is my first Shoei not to have the letters painted on as five individual letters. I wanted to be sure before I messed with it.

Def leave it alone if its underneath, odds are you'll mess it up trying to remove
