From what i can see the last new retail shoei rf 800 manako helmets were sold in late 2001....so ur gonna have to find a used one. There was one floating around over on r1-forum.com a while ago, you might try over there.

well since it's obviously the graphics you are after, it will probably easier to just pay somebody to airbrush the same thing on whatever helmet you want.

go get an Arai..shoei's arent as good..graphics arent really that important...arai's are lighter, more durable, and built to be more a lot more stronger...

You know I was just recently getting rid of a Shoei RF800 (Plain black). I wanted to see what it could handle.
So I took a sledge hammer to my helmet and aftera half dozenwhacks with a sledge hammer the helmet shell was fine.
Except the paint (Plastic) coating chipped (And some compression of the foam). So if that is not built as strong as an Arai then I think the Arai hemets are too hard.
The Shoei and the Arai helmets are both built to meet Snell specs and Both helmets are good helmets.
There are inexpensive models in both manufacturers so a blanket statement about who is better just doesn't fly with me.
The Shoei X-11 and RF1000 helmets are much lighter than the RF800 though.
Buy the helmet if it fits you though don't buy it for graphics only.
A helmet that doesn't fit you properly won't protect your noggin even if it looks killer on your head.

all it takes is for you to land on your head the wrong way for it to crack or what not..arai's are built stronger all the way around..shoei's have more vents in the helmet while arai's have atleast 2 less vents on the helmet because they put it in the visor...the vents on your helmets are basically a weak or weaker spot in your helmet...so the less vents you have on your helmet, would ultimately make it stronger...and when it comes to protecting your head, is there really "too hard"?
