Hey everyone, sorry if this was already discussed, but I tried typed in "sevenzeroseven" into search and nothing came up (tried it with the space as well). Has anyone had an experience with these helmets? I bought one recently because it was fairly cheap with the sale on it. It's snell and dot approved so it should be alright...right?? lol Don't really got the $$$ to shell out on a arai or shoei atm X_X

 

If you bought it new and it's DOT and/or Snell approved, it will protect you skull.

The cost in the pricey ones is usually...a savings in weight, better comfort/fit,
accessories, aerodymanics/quietness. Depending on your head's size/shape,
comfort/fit can often be found in a budget helmet.

The important thing is OWNING and USING a helmet, in the first place. You should be
fine (safety-wise), as long as the helmet has a legitimate DOT/Snell rating.

I have/had a 707 , it's a good helmet I used it for a year and a half. It held up well. Maybe it was just me but the the padding seemed to feel loose after a year and a half. I've got a good deal on an Icon helmet since then. Watch ebay in the cold seasons for good deals on all sorts of gear.

Like Madhatter said the important thing is using it.

 

Thanks for the input guys. Yeah This helmet has the snell 2010 thing inside if i take off the cheek pads. Yeah, I have a shoei rf-1100, but my friend gave it to me saying it was only used less than 10 times for 2up purposes..but I want to get it examined by Shoei before i use it..can never be too prepared right?
