Default Rocket Jacket Question

I bought a Joe Rocket Comet jacket today on the way home from getting my bike (shop where I got the jacket is 2 hours away).

Well I get home and discover that if I zipper the jacket it wont say zippered, the two sides just pull apart...

Anyone have this problem? Anyone know a way to get it fixed with out having to drive up to the shop again?

It sucks but, I'd just drive back to the place where you bought it and exchange it for another...

Yo man, Glad your buy'n gear... helps keep us alive!!!!!!!!!!! Call'm up, see if they have another. Be sure you picked the right size/ color/model for you... If they don't have what you want... Rocket customer service (exellent) can help you too. The dealer can prolly get you one, faster than costomer service... Good opp. to see how this dealer makes you a "satisfied customer" It's always best to solve gear probs in person... sometimes a dealer will make you a great deal on an upgrade, for your bother. I have found that if I give a dealer an opp. to help satisfy me... and I'm not too nasty, it helps biuld a good relationship(good deal), on down the line.

Now about that model choice, Rocket is "cut" for american market, (a bit more girthy)Nows a second chance to determine if the comet is
the jacket for you. Don't hesitate to get a refund, if your dealer balks I've had exellent dealing w/ fastlap.com(dragon jacket) and as as always, new enough leather.com . Clean and free, Ripp'n

You are better off buying AGV, DIANESE, Alpine Star or even Frank Thomas Gear. I have seen so many people complain about Joe Rocket stuff!

You may try to make sure that the zipper is laying down flat !! Sometimes there is a locking mech in the part you pull!! give that a try!! I have several and they all work like that !!

I've had an ICON and it was great for 3 years. I wear an Alpinestar now and it's great. I won't knock a busted zipper on poor quality. My wife and plenty of others I know wear Joe Rocket. It's a good product. besides, you buy what you can afford.

It may be that you zipper issue is one of few isolated issues. Bottom line.. a jacket equals some protection. i'm sure it's better than riding around w/your white T shirt! exhange it for another.

Whoa thanks for the help everyone. I am going to call the dealer up on Friday and see what they say. If all else fails I might be driving back up to PA to exchange and then take my jeep on a wheelin trip since I am up there anyways!

About the rocket vs others... I tried on so many jackets and the Rocket fit me very well (skinny *** mother ****er with no fat anywhere but long arms). It was one of the only jackets that felt comfortable to ride in but gave good protect as well. Not mention the dealer had it in yellow in stock and it matches the new bike!
