Default Protective gear for short people?

i already have a jacket that fits great, but i recently decided i want some protective pants to wear while riding, and i cant seem to find any that will fit.. my local shop doesnt have any pants in stock at all and all the ones i find online have at least a 32" inseam.. im 5'4" and my inseam is a mere 26-28".. my waist size is 32-34.. anyone know where i can find a pair of pants for someone vertically challenged like myself?

Have you tried Alpinestars? A'stars tend to fit more closely than other brands.

Also, you may have to have some tayloring done. Find a good leather/motorcycle gear taylor & have them altered.

Have you considered chaps? You can generally cut them to fit.

If any you folk have a good solution to this one i'd like to find some textile pants for the wife. She's 5'1" n gettin waist size is ok but leg length has proven illusive.

Try Harley dealers and places that sell Harley stuff. They have all kinds of stuff for people of all shapes and sizes.

The so-called gear I've seen in Harley/cruiser shops tends to be little more than fashion...barely protective & most w/o CE padding.

True, Harley stuff is more about fashion than protection. (How much protection do they really need?). You wont find a track suit there, but they may sell riding jeans in uncommon sizes. Worth a check out at least...

Yep. ;-) Worth a look. Certainly better than nothing.

Would just hate to see some unsuspecting customer buy a pair of $600 leather pants w/a Harley logo on them...when they could get a better product from Icon, Alpinestars, etc. for much cheaper...& most likely better as well.
