Need boot opinions FAST
Looking to get some new boots. My current ones are fine but I need a 2nd more serious set of boots and prolly getting them this week. Here's what I'm looking at right now
The Giro-ST are at the forefront based on looks at the moment. My intent is a boot for the "More than city" riding and a couple track days this season. I don't know how heavily I'll get into track riding so I don't want to waste on gear I'll barely use. Anyone got any opinions?

Dianese does make good gear. However, I don't have any experience w/ their boots.
Sidi Vertigo seems to be the standard. That's what I use. They are high quality & comfortable. They are great track boots, as well as great for everyday use.
Motorcycle-Superstore has them for $300... Read the reviews on them there as well... Sidi Vertigo Boots - Street Bike - Motorcycle Superstore .
Good luck whatever you decide to purchase.

I've got no experience with the Dianese, but so far my SMX5 have been holding up really well for street use (no track here, but I'm sure they'd be fine for a couple track days), and are pretty decent to walk around in.
Dragged my toe a bit a few weeks ago and the plastic toe thing still stayed on lol and all black doesn't make you look like a power ranger
Seeing it's my day off and the guys at Revzilla usually open up for me, I went shopping

AND THE WINNER IS....

Dainese TRQ Race Out!

They only had the black in stock at the store.
I like them. I went with a Euro size 44. I have the Quito Leather riding shoes in a 45 but the Race Outs were a little loose in that size. I wear a 10.5 US in normal shoes. Final cost was $299 flat (Revzilla is paying sales tax themselves at the moment).
I always need ***** fast, yumi

Nice-lookin' boots, Kuroshio! Hope you like them!
I guess it's too late to tell you that I really like my Xpd (Spidi) XP-7 boots. They're comfy, well-vented (perf'd), and the whole boot is CE 2+2 certified (level 2 in both abrasion resistance and cutting). Are the Dainese boots CE certified? Just curious; I'd never seen any Dainese stuff in real life before last week.
Once again, nice-looking boots; hope you like them!

I saw that Dainese's ~$500 boots are CE certified, although they don't say to what level. Now that i live in a _much_ larger place, I can take a look at Dainese's stuff in person. I hear it's really nice!
