I have a couple pairs of the shift brand kevlar jeans and they are triple stitched at seams and the knees are layered and also they have stretch panels on the back at waist so when you lean forward the top stretches and not the whole pant and one in the crotch so when you are riding and get hot you can open your knees apart and air will flow to your crotch in the smal stretch panel and vent in there. I have never crashed in mine but compared to regular jeans they are made better but not leather. I am not going to ride around town in leather or to a friends house to grill out and be stuck in leather pants so my kevlar jeanswork for me. All over the internet you hear people say I don't go to the grocery without my full suit and people who don't wear every piece of gear known to manare squids but honestly they must not go out much because I almost never see a person in full leather around town! Don't get me wrong it is way safer but people are not practicing what they preach so next time your out riding local you tell me how many have a full suit on.

So true. I live in Debary (Orlando area), FL and I've been to a few bike nights and hardly anyone wears gear at all. I haven't ridden yet without wearing gear yet and I don't plan to. I don't care how hot it is.
Getting back to the jeans. I have Teknik Warrior motorcycle jeans that I wear everytime I ridebut underneath them I ALWAYS wear my Icon Field Leg Armor, Icon Field Armor Shorts, and my full race boots. I feel that with wearing my stuff under the jeans they should at least be equal to many pairs of textile pants I tried on. Most of them were thin as hell at Cyclegear. I just can't wear full leather in the heat down here so I hope what I'm wearing will hold up should I go down. [8D]
