Default Leather Jacket

So it's time for me to pick up a leather jacket. The textile jacket hasn't left the closet for the last year or so, and my goretex jacket isn't going to cut it anymore. Overall looking for something that just has great protection. I'm trying to go all black, because that is the color of my gear so far. I've got a pair of joe rocket pants, so it would be awesome if i can get a jacket that will zipper all the way around with the pants. If you have any personal experience with a jacket, or have heard good things please let me know. I've been going through so many posts and websites, that I figure'd I'll just ask and see what is recomended. Thanks.

I have this jacket as does my brother. Fantastic for the money. Full cir zipper and 8" zipper, nice venting and quite comfy after break in period. Cant beat it with a stick for the money man. I dont think you'll find a better jacket for the money. Zip out liner. Get it.

Well I dont really know what price range you're lookin for. I just bought the A* TZ-1 black for $249.95, thats $100.00 off list from this guy flyin brian he has them listed @ $314 like everywhere else I've checked on the web, but I offered him $249.95 and he accepted in like 2min. plus shipping which is about $20. I think I got a pretty good deal. It has all of the things you described I believe. Btw I have absolutely no connection with this guy except for buying this jacket and some gloves. You can read what the guys at newenough think about the jacket as they sell it too.

I don't have any experience with Joe Rocket products, but you can't go wrong ordering from Newenough.com. Every order I have made with them has been great. I had to exchange my HRX jacket and pants for fitment issues, they make it soo easy.

All my gear is Teknic, but if you want to be able to zip to your pants with no alteration, you need to go with a Joe Rocket jacket. You can get whatever jacket you want, but you will have to have a tailor swap zippers if it dosent fit.

Thanks guys for your responses. I checked out the jackets there, and I think I should still with Joe Rocket to avoid any further tailoring to fit my pants. The tough part it I'm a smaller guy, 5'9" 145lb so my jacket size is a 40 which is only available in a few jackets. Any opinions on going all out on a super moto jacket?

stickman, I plan on checking out the guy's ebay ads. Unfortunately I'm at work and I can't get access to ebay. I'm gonna try to find info on the jacket on google, and go from there.

once again, thanks guys, and feel free to keep the opinions/comments/suggestions coming.
