Default Joe Rocket Leather Honda CBR Jacket Size?

I'm about 5'8" 155 lbs. When I had tried this jacket on in a store the smallest size they had was a 44 but it was WAY too big for me, especially the length of the sleeves. They didn't have any 42's to try, and I new I was going to order online anyway, so I felt comfortable with ordering a size 40.

So here's my question, do your jackets fit relatively tightly in the torso and chest? I kind of get the sense that these jackets are supposed to be snug for safety's sake, but I don't have enough room in the jacket to even wear a sweatshirt underneath. The funny this is that the arm length is perfect, but its really tight elsewhere.

Is this normal for this type of jacket? I'm trying to decide if I should replace this one with a larger size.

Thanks, Kiggy

I tried on a 46 and a 50 locally before ordering a 48 online. I couldn't find a 48 to try on. The 48 is a great fit for me. The sleeves are long when wearing it off the bike. On the bike, I never notice it. Plus, I think the more I wear it, the more it is conforming to me. The sleeves seem to be breaking in and coming more into line with where they should be.

Just my opinion on the jacket so far. I haven't had it that long yet, but I really like it.

I have an Alpinestars one to one jacket and with the liner in I could probably wear a sweat shirt underneath but it would be a tight fit. Depending on how cold it gets I wear a polypropylene shirt or a tight fitting turtle neck. If it gets real cold I wear both and wearing both is really snug but bearable. By the way I am 5’7â€, weigh 178 and wear a Large Alpinestars jacket but the full leathers I am looking at is Europe size 42.

I have the Joe Rocket CBR Leather jacket (Red/Black/White) in a 44

I'm 6' & around 160 pounds and it fits me really good.

I tried on the 46 and it felt more comfortable (looser), but boy was it frickin' wide to jump up to the next size. If I would've gotten it I would've probably looked like a parachute going down the road...lol

The 44 fits me snugger (a good thing) & isn't loose at all, and I'd say a perfect fit. It's still gonna loosen up a little over time when I wear it (if it stops frickin' raining!)

It's weird trying to find a jacket when you're taller. I'm not saying I'm tall, but I know my brother has a couple inches on me and when he was trying to find a jacket the problem was the sleeves were usually too short. And then when you got into a bigger size jacket, then they just got wider. Do they assume that all tall people are fat or something?? LOL

And it's confirmed with what you said, Kiggy, because you said the sleeve length was perfect, but that it was kind of tight (the 40), but then if you go to a bigger size the sleeves don't really get that much longer & the jackets get wider instead.

So what jacket size did you settle on Kiggy??

I think I'm going to keep the 40. The more I wear it the less I notice the tight spots. I think its starting to break in a little bit.

I also ended up getting a pair of Sidi B-2 boots and some Alpinestars SP-1 gloves. The boots are unbelievable, they make a huge difference in comfort while riding. The gloves are so-so. I like the way the fit and the price was more reasonable than some of the others, but the thumb seems longer than all the other fingers. It makes finding the turn signal a little tougher.
