Default Jacket Sizing (Tall?)

I have been looking for a nice leather riding jacket, but I have a problem. It seems every jacket I try on, if it fits my body, the sleeves are too short. If I get it bigger for the sleeves to fit, it is too loose on my body. Has anyone else had this problem? Are there certain brands that have longer sleeves than others? Do they come in tall sizes? I have not seen any in Tall.

Also, most jackets feel like the collar will be too tight. Does a leather jacket have a break in period where it will become more comfortable?

I am 6'1" @ 185 lbs. With this being such a large investment, I don't want to waste my money by not buying the right one to begin with. Hoping someone with a similar experiences can chime in and help a fellow rider out!

im 6'1" and i weigh about 175 (weighed about 165, gained about 10+lbs in a month). gaining more weight by the week from quitting smoking.

i have an icon ti-max (medium) fits perfect, but about 1" too short in the sleeves. as far as the girth of the arms of the jacket, i just adjust the snaps for a bit more snug fit. i bought a large as well as a medium at the same time from newenough.com. tried them both on, both fit about equally, but chose the medium as wanted a tighter fit (in case of a slide). i would order both sizes and try them both on. this way you can find out which one you like better. just make sure they have a return policy before ordering. it might cost you an extra 20.00 for shipping, but peace of mind of a jacket fitting the way you want it to is well worth it in my book.

+1 on the Icon. I'm 6'1 at 165 wearing a medium Motorhead jacket. The sleeves are plenty long, almost too long by about 1/2-1" on me. Torso length is perfect.

Joe Rocket has tall sizes. They are the only one I have found so far that have tall sizes. I like the sonic 2.0 for leather and the Phoenix 4.0 for mesh. Has anyone ever used either one of these as I am looking to buy either one soon as well. But I hope that helps for tall sizes, any suggestions would help me out as well not to jack the thread or anything.

Check out newenough.com for the tall ones they looks to be the best deal out.
