Worth every penny - I paid about $58 for mine. Personally crash tested my Icon armor, and without it I'd have been on crutches or worse.

I paid $57 for mine. It's ok. Looks like it'll work real well in the event of a crash.

I like them, rode inthe Ozarks with them. A buddy of mine complains that they slip down on his legs, but he's pretty slim.

Recommended + the field armor shorts are Awesome

I recommend them. They fit nicely under jeans and feel like they will protect in the event of going down. The only problem I have with them is that if I don't get the straps tight enough, they slide down my leg, but I have skinny calfs. So, if I know I will be riding for awhile, I just tape them up with some hockey tape.

I bought them recently but haven't gotten a chance to ride with them yet.
That said.... I've obviously tried them on- they fit great under jeans and you can't notice they're there.
They are bulletproof but are comfortable and not restricting. Unless you have huge runner's calves they should fit well. Check out the review and pics at www.NewEnough.com I bought mine from Ebay but it was only $5 cheaper than the NewEnough price and they have free shipping on it right now.

My argument for getting them- I know I won't wear textile or mesh overpants over my jeans (after owning some and never wearing in the summer heat) but yet I want my knees/shins protected.

Thanks for the replies. I was up at cycle gear this weekend and they were already sold. I am waiting for them to come back in so i can try them on with my riding boots. I will prob buy them because, I don't see myself picking up a pair of leather or textile pants any time soon.
