Default ICON Field Armor Boot

This may be a real stupid or newbie question but, I bought these boots and there is no way I can fit my foot under the shifter or find a safe way to shift with these things on. Am I a retard or am I missing something? Thanks!

I have a pair of Alpine Stars but am thinking of a new pair of Sidi boots. Not a big fan of ICON boots, like the helmets though.

I'm relatively new to the board (see intro in "new" section).
It depends on the kind of riding you do, the weather you do it in, and how long your legs are. I have a pair of Sidi's, but don't wear them in the rain or when the road surfaces are slick as I feel they have poor traction when you put your foot down at stops. I have an old pair with really good tread that I wear in wet and/or slippery conditions. You have to decide what features are most important to you and then do some research to find the boots that fit your needs.

i say a good boot that's functional and such and cheap is the set up boots.
those will be mah next pair.

astars boots are too big and bulky IMO.
the new line of sidis are just too bling.

so my next pair will be the set up boots.
currently have sidi vert 2 with tons of glue on it...it has many many miles on it and over 3 years...still going strong.

Ok... maybe it is a poor choice of boots, but he did pay for them. Might as well use them to see if they work for you. Just adjust your shifter up a little so you can fit your Herman Monster boots under it.

I have the Icon super duty boots and use them for my everyday riding. They are great. I will get a pair of Alpinestars or Sidi's once I start riding the track.
