I have honda racing joe rocket supersport textile jacket and i have the same problem. strong exhaust smell. the smell carries on to yours clothes but after u was them they are fine, the jacket on the other hand still smells. i have stuck it in the washer (not recomended by joe rocket but doesnt seem to hurt the material) hng it up wett and sprayed it with old spice cologne and let it air dry. a day later i checked it and still stinks, the water doesnt seem to soak into the textile material very well. im going to try to soak it in hot water with dawn dish soap with takes gas smell out of most materials, if that doesnt work i guess dry cleaning might work. *Also it is hard to get the bug stains out of the white material.

Textile/nylon is going to absorb exhaust odor more than leather, but with the under-tail exhaust design of our bikes, there's virtually no way to avoid it.
The thing I like about this picture is you can see the swirls from the exhaust at the rear of the bike...although I'm going over 100 mph, put that same exhaust pattern in normal riding and it's going to be swirling back on the rider.
