im currently in the market for a new, quality helmet. price is not an option, but i dont wanna pay alot if its only for replica decals. i want whatever is supposed to be the best. protection-first. comfort-second. looks-third. anyone have a lid that they would recommend?

I have a shoei Rf-1000 Diablo 2 TC-5 and an Arai Signet Squandra GT and both the helmets I have now are very confortable. Ive had many different makes and models of helmets over the last 15 yrs. My opinion is that unless you have an over large ego you dont need a $600 replica helmet. Price/Quality/style in the equation of purchasing helmets you cant go wrong with Shoei, Arai, Suomy, etc.... Brand new/retail your looking at $300-400 for like a new arai quantum or shoei X11 series helmet depending on where you get it. Do you really need a new helmet, a used helmet will do just fine until you find one that you really like. You can find helmets on auction sites for half the price with minor nicks on them and what not. Just a consideration.

I had an HJC and now I've got a Scorpion. There was more comfort in the HJC to me, because Scorpions run small, but I like it and it offers better protection. My man has an Arai.
