Default Heated Gear

I bought gloves and a jacket liner on Friday. Didn't get to try it out until today. IT IS AWESOME!! It is like riding with an electric blanket wrapped around you. I highly recommend it to anyone that likes to ride year round but doesn't like the cold.

It was a little under $400 for the gloves, heat troller and jacket. Super easy to install and toasty warm. The gloves were a little bulky and stiff but are already starting to loosen up. I don't know why I didn't get some before, it makes a workd of difference. No more warming my hands on the engine or wearing mulitiple layers of clothes.

I ride. I haven't had any problems with the levers or the throttle, the gloves were a little stiff in the begining but are starting to loosen up quickly. My biggest problem was deciding what to do with the heat troller. I got the portable one. I was just going to put it in my pocket but that didn't work well, I finally found a place to put it, I sewed some velcro to the lining of my leather jacket on the right side so it is easy to get to to adjust the heat.

I've got Gerbing's version, a jacket-liner, gloves and socks. It is very
nice stuff. Toasty! I got the single permenant mount for mine and mounted it
in the tripple-tree cap. Nice clean, "always been there" look.

I am having an issue on my scooter though, I'm not sure the stator has
enough out-put to carry the extra load (120 watts/10.0 amps).
Or if it's just weak. Gonna look it over Friday, hopefully. Been trying to
find the numbers on the F3's output/OEM electrical load, so I can determine
a solution. If anyone knows, sound off, this stuff is too cool, to not get it right. ;-)

This morning was the true test. It was in the 20's when I left for work this morning. Toasty warm all the way to work. People were looking at me like I was crazy for being on a bike, little did they know, lol.

I was wondering myself about the extra draw for the gear. So far with just the liner and gloves there doesn't seem to be an issue. Asked my hubby about it and he suggested that I don't have the the plugged in unless the bike is running, I can hear the change in the sound of the bike as soon as I plug in. I want a pair of socks but don't want to overload the system so I guess I'll just go with chilly toes.

Dang I loves this gear!
