Default exo-400 or hjc cl-sp?

hey im looking on buying my first helmet
and pretty much set on one of these ether a
hjc cl-sp or a scopion exo-400
i like the look or the scorpion better
i tried on a exo-500 at a shop and it felt very tight around my jaw bone at my size (xl) i hear exo runs a size small and they didnt have a xxl for me to try on
. what would be better pertection and comfterble? in comparison whats the better helmet? i found them around the same price with the hjc being $10 more. i tried on a sp-15 and it seemed to fit well

helmets are supposed to fit a little snug, and remember they will loosen up as they break in.

it was more than snug, it was uncomfterble ALOT of pressure on my jaw bone, mine is pretty wide set. i herd if you cant clench your jaw without it hurting for a certian time. it wont get better? idk, im gonna try and see if i can try them on locally.

I have an EXO 400, and between all the other helmets I have tried, I love my EXO. I wear large and it was snug at first, maybe not as tight as you are experiencing, but after wearing it for a while, it fits well now. Although I never tried on the HJC.

That's just my . Try both models if you can find them, and see how they feel.

Yeaah ill do that. The exo 500 had a pump system to inflate the cheak pads so that might have something to do with it. I fit xl in other helmets so ill see if I can find a xxl for that to try on. I dono what the ruturn policy would be for these because there. Clearence items

I had a CL-SP a few years ago and then went to an exo400. The scorpion is better in nearly every way.. The HJC wasn't a bad helmet but the EXO is just better IMO. I have had the 400 for about a year and a half.. I just bought an EXO1100 and I'm waiting for it to arrive. YMMV

Yeah. I went for a ridee now and it is very comfy. I guess the 400 is rounder than the 500 according to web bike world. And it seems like it. It seems a little short but otherwise really compterble. Got a great deal tho 50 for brand new and snell aproved so I can't complain
I needed someing at least snell since I already have a head injury and have a piece of. My forheadd missing

For $50, you got a deal and a half. I have the 400 as well and I love it. Without question, Scorpions are definitely the most bang for your buck i think
