Default Dainese vs Joe Rocket

Would you prefer a Dainese (TH1) leather jacket or a Joe Rocket (Blaster) ???
My mom got me the Dainese for X Mas, and my girlfriend got me the joe rocket, so i have to keep one and sell the other !!!

Tell me what you think this way i can make the best decision.

P.S i got my XMAS presents early b/c i won't be home for X MA

If they both fit the same i'd probably keep the Dianese. I have never used them myself, but they have a great reputation. All my gear is Joe Rocket or Alpinestars. But like I said, quality wise, i've heard great things about Dianese.

Dainese is by far better than Joe Rocket. Don't even hesitate.

I have one, and it rocks! I've been down twice, and still here.

You've been down twice in the SAME Dainese? Only reason I ask is that I had heard once you've gone down, you're supposed to replace any gear that hit the pavement, since the integrity of the armour could be compromised. (is that even true?)

Jackets are not like helmets. If a helmet hits the ground, you want to replace it. On a jacket, take a good look at the damage. If it's bad enough, then replace it. If it's a mesh or textile jacket, chances are it will need replacing. If it's a leather, it may hold up pretty well. Espically depending on the crash.

The impact doesn't compress the armour? (I'm thinking of the foam-type/flexible stuff that seems to be in most jackets)

The foam is supposed to pop back into shape if it gets compressed. As always you want to visually inspect a jacket after you go down. Most of the higher end companies like alpinestars and dianese use CE armor which is alot better then foam armor.
