I was wondering how many of you guys were boots. Ive ridden dirtbikes without them. SO I guess Im also wondering if it would be worth it for me to invest in.

Thanks

Yes, every time I ride. I have Sidi's and they are so comfortable, I have no excuse
for not wearing them. The thinner (than work boots) sole also gives you good
feel on the pegs and gear/brake pedals.

Many of the online places have end of summer close-outs coming up....

I recently purchased a pair of setup vision boots. I did some research and a lot of people consider these boots to be the best bang for the buck. I agree. I'm sure they're not the best boots in the world, but I'm very happy with them and don't think I'll need anything much more than them. They're comfortable, look great, look to have good construction, and feel very protective.

Sidi vertigo for me. Great boots. They even have vents for the hot days.

if your looking for something that protects well but dont need the all out track boot, look at Joe Rocket Orbit boots. They look like regular black high tops. They have CE Armor on both sides of the ankles, and have a double patch of leather over the toes for the levers. Cost like $90, very comfy

definate on the boots, ever see video's of guys breaking there foot off at the ankle looks very painful.

I wear Sidi's, they are great, and I got a closeout deal on them last fall. ~$150 brand new.

also as a side note, I low sided a couple of months ago, had I been wearing tennis shoes, or boots without protective armor on the ankles, I would have ground off my ankle bone.

whats a boot that gives good protection, good feel(thick boots are not a problem, i wore a set of my thick sole work/dress boots while riding the other day and they felt ok) and something that i could walk around the mall, work in, and just wear when going out. i dont want a full track boot, but a boot that would be acceptable for track days..

and if they make mea bit taller taht would be good too haha
