Default Boots?

I'm thinking of getting some boots.

I would like some protection, but don't really want the comic book superhero look for the street. If I get off of the bike and walk somewhere, I don't want people pointing and laughing.

Any recommendations out there guys?

What kind of style are you looking for Duke, i.e race, casual, full legth boot, shorty boot? Too many styles/types to help you out unless you give some details of what you want to use them for, and what you expect them to look like.

I have heard great things about Sidi boots. Personally I use the Icon super duty boots. They offer good protection and look like normal boots.

I wear those Icon boots as well..pretty much everyday while at work. That is why I wear them; because its just a normal looking boot that doesnt stand out. I like the buckle in case I have to use them for thier "intended" purpose and it should hepl keep it on my foot where it belongs

I'm not too concerned about what people think about my boots but that is just me. You might want to check out www.teknicgear.com, plus it depends on how much money you want to spend and your application

Do yours squeak non stop as well? I love the boots, but I hate that they squeak nonstop. Everyone knows when i'm coming into a room. They are a great casual boot that gives good protection though.

well Baldman, I don't know a whole lot about boots.

i know that I don't want flashy track bred boots, i'm not against some colour but don't really want any if can be avoided. black would be nice.

i want some ankle protection but don't want boots that ride really high up my leg.

i ride a lot, but don't do track days. i'm not really agressive, but do enjoy some hard riding on occasion.

these look alright...

Good pictures..those are Sidi Strada Tepor boots which I sell for only $190. They retail for $220 and are waterproof.
The most popular boot is the Vertebra 2 boot..
The difference is that the Strada doesnt have the "Vertebra" system.
The Vertebra 2 has a repalceable shin plate, ankle slider, toe slider, and most importantly ( for my limpy self) a ADJUSTABLE CALF SIZE feature.
I have one calf that is HUGE since my left foot doesnt work so well anymore my right calf is really big. I could not find any boots that would fit over it and still be able to zip it up by myself without 2 people assisting..Wel these do and I love them. I even crashed last spring at 100m.p.h on the track and they did a great job and just have scuffs. I can replace the scuffed parts but havent done so yet.
I sell these boots for only $210 ( retail is $240)
