How do you guys feel about AFX helmets?

I have been on the market for a new helmet for a while now. Mine is an old helmet I have had for years that is silver and black and no way matches my bike.

I wear a yellow and black jacket, my bike is yellow and purple (See extremely tiny avatar)

It is near impossible to find a helmet to match my bike as they are mostly yellow and black, or a really bright yellow
I think I have decided on this one, with either a tinted or chrome (preferred) faceshield

You all think chrome would work on this?



It is around 100 Dollars, I cannot afford to spend much more.. I was looking for a scorpion because I really like them (especially for the fog proof shield) but havent found one that matches the yellow of my bike.

Anyone have good/bad experiences with AFX Helmets? Also open to suggestions on other helmets.
Does AFK have fog proof faceshields?

I do not have any experience with AFX helmets but have heard people like them for the price. Me personally I could care less about matching...I mean I wear black/red on a green/black bike...and before that my bike was yellow/black. Some people are into matching some are not so dont make it feel as if you have to match.

The helmet does look pretty cool and their is not much yellow so it is more of a neutral helmet to me.

 

Don't know what size you wear but HERE is a Yellow Scorpion Helmet for less than $100 to your door...

 

Yea that's why I like it because of the fact there's not much in it so its not like full blown yellow but still matches.

Thanks for the link to the scorpion onr but its way too big, I kinda like the design tho ill look into it

Hopefully someone out there has experience with afx comfort/weight/turbulence(for lack of a better word)

Maybe this is something to think about... If people notice the helmet and bike don't match it means they saw you. That can't be a bad thing.

 

Good point, not going to quit looking quite yet, still finding tons of new ones that are decent.

is the one I posted the picture of, it says AFX FX-95..

Cant find the FX-95 anywhere else, or faceshields for them anywhere.. anyone know why?.. the design of the helmet kind of looks similar to the FX-16, idk

 

I rode 2 weeks ago with someone that had this helmet. I didn't like it at first but after awhile it grew on me. I kinda liked it afterwords. It didn't go with his gear or bike at all.

 

I really like the first helmet that you posted... I might have to look into it for myself.

As far as matching... Some people have to have it matched, others don't; but personally I usually try to match all of my gear together. Whether it goes with the bike or not, I really don't care.

 

Yea I really like it too, but I cannot find ANYTHING for faceshields for the FX-95, which is what it is.. I want to try to find a chrome/Silver one if i get it..

 

I bought my wife a afx and the quality just isn't there. You need to try one on, they don't fit very well. Go withe scorpion there made in the us and you can change the size by changing the padding. Johnnyh
