Really neat and well thought out project you have there Josh. Well done!

A question regarding wrapping the headers. I'm guessing you removed them to wrap the tape - or is it possible to leave them in place and feed the tape through between the engine - particularly the pipes under the sump? I want to wrap my (standard ) '91 pipes.

Cheers, SB

No there is no way in hell you can wrap them with out removing them. It is a big enough pain wrapping them off the bike lol. Also buy another set of gaskets as well for when you put the exhaust back on. I had to buy 2 DEI wrap kits to do what you see there. It takes at least 2 kits to wrap them. Oh and when you do it have fun

Thanks Josh,

I have enough tape left over from the GTR1000 I did, but that bike I was able to remove the fairings and wrap the pipes in place - very fiddly and time consuming but do-able.

Not so the CBR1000F it seems.

Oh! And I do know about the 'fun' wrapping the pipes. I itched for a couple of days and was wearing gloves when I did the job! Hands didn't itch though

Cheers, SB

Just installed new grips and my new M-Factory mirrors. I would highly recommend these to anyone wanting some great high quality bar end mirrors.
