Default Chimps Semi - Resto of the Flying Fridge

G'day all
I Purchased this 89 Cbr 1000f early March this year from old mate? in NSW as since this model was released it has been my " all time need to own before I die bike" well I did it & still alive in Victoria Australia we have historic reg for bikes 25 years and older which means instead of being $550 p/y I pay $65 for 45 days or $120 for 90 days which is perfect as with these 3 bikes + 2 awaiting resto I get 135 days riding for $195 + Insurance is dirt cheap on these 3.
so I have already sorted most of the running gear & leaking seals + old mate using silicone as carby gaskets took it on a couple of runs just to shake it down & then got a riser set as it killed my shoulders.
so now I have to wait until 1st of Jan 2014 for 25 years to kick over.

my plan is to keep the same colour scheme however I have never been one to keep things standard it will remain Pearl white + the wheels in pearl
the Red / Blue & silver will all be candy metallic's or pearl " jury still out on this" and there will be no stickers however if you run your hand over all the lettering you find that its all paint...yep OTT but this is a forever bike...well actually they all are.
Like to hear your thoughts on the colours as its not done yet so if there's something I haven't thought of I'd like to hear what you have to say.
Cheers Pete

It's all relative I think as Aust has a poofteenth of your population so when we look at cost per head per country it ain't that bad, & I can live with it
You mentioned
My zed in the background it was an every nut & bolt resto which took about 2 years & far too much money but it's beautiful to ride, may take it to the moto gp on Friday? the Gpz was a hack bike initially but I kinda fell in love with it so I gave it some love as well, I think those 2 show you my aversion to standard colours, it just makes them mine I suppose.

Received these today from the UK, they are Mask stickers so the paint becomes the lettering then the decal is removed.Dan did an excellent job & I scored extra's...hope I never need them.
