Where'd you find that windshield at and how much did it run ya?
Great looking bike!
Great looking bike!
He's also right about how great your bike looks...
FargAT, you're right... that does look a little small for a single, but if it works..that's all that matters.
I've seen bigger motors with smaller cans..
I hear the 96 in this color was better than previous years .....

MUTTLEY LAUGH
FargAT you should be able to have a lot of options in a bolt
on replacement for the Kerker.........Scorpions are another
good can and good on the budget.

This is mine ... Brought it three year's ago for £1,500 and since then have spent more than that on it ... One of the first thing's I did was take the front end out and replaced the spring's seal's and oil ... Then moved on the the back end ... Taking out the swing arm all new bearing and needle roller's ... While that was out got the wheel's swing arm and all the rest powder coated ... This year it's had a new S/S down pipe's and bradded hose's all round ... Have 150 litter's of hard luggage ... With a flip top screen ...
Now some one tell me why you spend more money one bike that not work half what you paid of her ... Did I say I'm changing all the bolt's over to S/S every time I work on her ???

John, mate , you are doing a bloody great job with all the effort you are taking to restore her to better than she was new by the sounds of it ....well done
Personally IMO , better to spend a little cash on her , rather than waste twice as much in total or much more!! on a far less worthy new bike mate ..
No one will convince me that a new 1000cc bike for over 12.000 AUD (6000 POUNDS) is better in any way or form than a well restored CBR1000F ...

Here we go, not been on here long, maybe about half and hour or so haha
...
She's got her work cut out for her this one, she will be wrapped away in cotton and tinkered with till its time to sprint her way to portugal in the spring...
First on the list - Progresive springs up front and a new hagon rear shock, suspension feels a bit tired so if 2 up to spain with a sh*t load of luggage is on the cards sus is a must haha

No i seen her on the autotrader, the add was pretty poor aswell, just said (tax and tested cbr1000f, 40k, good condition and a price) it wasnt too far to take a little drive - normally i wouldnt of bothered with an advert being so poor, but am glad i did, turned out to be an absolute pearler
