Default New gear for the season

A buddy is twisting my arm to do track days so I pieced together an entry level set that'll pass for the track.

I have the boots and will be taking them for a test ride tomorrow. The rest will be here by next weekend and I'll post reviews if anyone is interested.

The jacket is listed as $299, but since it's last years design... $99 at Iron Pony
Pants, same listed as $199 and got them for $140 at New Enough
Boots, full price of $199
Gloves, almost free. Last years design and bought with the jacket, so that took me over the limit to get free shipping, plus a $5 off promo code... paid $10.

Not too bad, complete set of leathers for under $500.

In the group I ride with, two other members have them and love them. We're not hard core racers or anything, just being really safe on our local rides. But two of us plan on doing track days a couple times a year to better ourselves as riders, and these pass as long as you have a jacket that zips all the way around.

If you're thinking about them, here's the link... great buy.

That's the story. I don't even think the 8 inch or 10 inch zipper will pass. But... when you buy most pants, they come with the top half of the zipper and you can take the gear to a shop and have them sew it up for you. I'm just looking to get the factory set.

But... they sold out of my jacket so I'm shopping again. Or waiting until the next close out sale. I found the jacket for $200, so that's only another 100. Still cheap for a leather jacket.
