Default Continental Road Attacks on my F4i

I purchased my 2004 F4i with 4,000 miles on it and there was a set of fairly worn Battlaxe's that I got another 3k out of before they squared off in the center.

Unfortunatly, I do a lot of highway riding. I use my bike to go out on jobs and when I'm done I find twisty roads to haul a$$ on. I try to go riding every weekend (every weekend I have off from work anyway) and usually go riding with a bunch of harley riders.

I scheduled a trip to the Dragon, so I had to put some new tires on the bike.

I read great reviews on the Road Attacks, and since I do so much highway driving I felt they could be a good choice for me.

I was a little concerned because it's a sport touring tire and I was going to be attempting to keep up with a seasoned R1 rider on the twisty Dragon, but long story short, I had no problems what so ever with these tires.

I've put 1k miles on the tires already and there is minimal wear.

In all of the reviews I've read people talk about how the tire feels more "planted" the further you lean, but to me everything was smooth and just like any other tire I've ever used. (I have owned a 600cc ninja and a 750 katana both with stock tires, and I've ridden R6's and R1's with stock tires).

The major difference with the Road Attacks is I actually felt confident with the tires. There wasn't ANY of the slippage that I got from the Battlaxe's. With the Road Attacks, I wasn't as concerned with rocks in the road, water spots, oil spots etc. I've ridden through it all, at speed, in turns and where I used to feel the back tire slip out from under me, I now felt the tire sticking to the ground.
Yeah, there were times where the rear end gave me concerns but it was a different feeling. Instead of feeling worried because something was giving out, I just felt "feedback", it wasn't really concerning when I think about it.

I even got stuck in a downpour and except for the initial few seconds of the rain storm when the roads are the slickest due to the oil rising to the surface of the road the Road Attacks suprisingly stuck to the ground.

I honestly like the tires, but I made the choice because of the claims that they would get more mileage then a sport tire so time will tell.

decent tires for what they are and for what you need em for. As for me I do alot of riding in the mtns and on twisty roads and like my PP's and PP2CT's. Now when/if I relocate to Florida and all its straight boring roads I may goto a set of PR2CT's. But I'll have a track bike down there to get my twisty fix in lol
