I like it! One of the regulars at the local twisty hot spot has a Desmo. His Desmo is far from a trailer-queen. He beats it relentlessly. I've never even seen it clean. But, you gotta admire the guy for riding it like its supposed to be ridden instead of being a poser. :-)

 

Hell yeah, why by a bike just to look at it and not actually ride it. The only way I would do that is if I were able to purchase a race bike from one of these big time riders, collectors item. I would still ride it every now and then but not the way it was ridden in the past or built for.
