Default My Honda NT650 Build

Since I joined this forum for my CBRs but I dont do a lot to them I figured I would post about my NT650 also since its quite the project. Here is how I bought it:

Just started doing the build here is the 09+ CBR600RR complete front end installed:

Just started putting on the Woodcraft CFM Rearsets:

I am going with either a 07-08 CBR600RR full fairing set or 02+ Honda RS125 race fairings. If I do the RS125 this is the sub frame for the tail (made by Hiper Form):

Also have a CBR900RR rear shock to put on that will help raise up the rear a little and a 5 Spoke VFR800 rear wheel that matches the front CBR wheel. The VFR wheel to be installed needs the spindle to be modified.

Which ever fairing set I go with, I am doing a Repsol paint job, black frame, and orange wheels.

Thanks for posting up your mod build. Very interested to see how it develops.

Quick question... How much does that subframe weigh? It looks heavy.

The stock or the aluminum one shown?

The aluminum one shown is just a hair over three pounds. Its just for single seat race tails. Its only 16" in length.

Yes, the last pic. It looks very solid. Very nice workmanship.

Got a little time to put more on. Both rearsets are mounted, the sub frame is installed and I set the VFR800 rear wheel against it to show how it looks (who needs photoshop!):

Here is the comparison of original steel sub frame compared to the aluminum one I got:

I was wondering what experiences you had while converting to the 600RR front. I currently have a 97 CBR900RR front end, but purchased a 07 1000RR front. I am in the process of converting my GT back to street; I have been racing it off and on since 2000.
