After weeks stuck at work & being down with a respitory infection I was able to bake some progress on this thing.
Cleaned up the engine and shot some engine enamel on at, pulled & cleaned the carbs ( they were NASTY), got them back on.
The fiberglass tail is comming along, still messing with the mount for the tail light.

So, for lack of better options, I pulled the marzocchi reat shocks, cleaned them up, and pulled the rear wheel and swing arm, This swing arm will need completely sanded down or blasted. I can't get any paint to stick with out a reaction. It will be down to metal friday when I get off work. I wanna smack the guy who jacked this bike up before she got it...

Really looking forward to seeing how the bike turns out.
You've had some obstacles to overcome but you're doing great. I know how it is to have a *task* to do & it turns out to be a *project*. Hope things smooth out somewhat so you can roll along.
As for the swingarm, any chance you could just have it powder-coated? You could just drop it off & pick it up when its ready. My local powder-coater would do a job like that for about $75. To me, that would be $75 well spent for the time savings & the DIY headaches. ;-) Anyway, just tryin' to think of ways to free up some time for you to focus on other aspects of the build.
So, how's PV2 Persing doing in her training?...good I hope! :-) Hooooahhh!

She is still loving it. She did mention she misses the more tactical stuff in BCT over her M.I. classroom stuff.
