There's really no answer here I can give you because it depends on several factors. For example, where you live has an influence on your insurance rates and premium. The only advice I can give you is to shop around. Perhaps add your motorcycle to your parents insurance or another policy where are other cars/bikes, so you can get a multi-vehicle discount. I have AAA and it costs under 500 for full coverage, however, there is no medical.

In Ohio I found Allstate to be very cheap. If you have a 1k it gets pretty expensive for full coverage. On my 600 I have full coverage for 60 a month. My husband has liability on his 1k and we pay 62 a month. Just depends on what type of bike you have.

I found the best deal with Geico. I pay 160.00 for the year.
I told my brother and he switched and save 350.00

I live in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and when i shopped around for insurance on a 04 cbr i got quoted between $4000-5600/year. I also got a quote from State Farm and they quoted me $1100. I'm 26 and got a speeding ticket 2 years ago. Those larger quotes are very common here in Canada. Companies put a 150% surcharge if you plan on insuring a sportbike. Fortunatly State Farm has very few criteria for their policies, i wish more companies would follow suit and make it competitive.

That's pretty good. I asked Geico and they quoted $2500 on a 92 CBR600. I went with State Farm for $174 a year. I'm 33 with no accidents in like 16 years, but only have my temp permit for the cycle. Some companies give discounts for taking the BRC (basic rider course) while others (State Farm) didn't even ask.
