ya know who ever designed the 98 cbr 600 f3 is a dumb *** there's 3 thing a man needs on a motorcycle you need a speedometer ,tachometer and a "gas gauge" i have all but one ..... if i knew the bastard I'd make him push a 600 about a mile so he would never forget to leave the GAS GAUGE out again .......... 2nd time i have ran out !!!!!!!! Why aren't you guys using your reserve when you run out?
Know your bike doesn't have a gauge, but it has an odometer. I'll tell you that your 600 makes between 40 and 45 mpg. Let's call it 43mpg for shiggles. From empty, it takes 3.5-3.7 gallons of fuel to top a F2's tank off. F3 tanks are a little bigger from what I hear. So that works out to at least 150-160 miles on a tank til you hit reserve again. Once on reserve - you have another 10-15 miles if you milk it.
gotta know your machine, and think ahead - kinda follows a quote a boss used to tell me "A lack of planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on my part."
