Default First Post!!!

Thought i would take the liberty in being the first to post in this section. well now that i have a post i might as well talk about some other bikes. Who else here thinks that the new Yamaha R6's are actually pretty sweet. I like the shorter exhaust, gives the bike a sleaker look. I have also noticed that alot of the other companies have completely changed the look of their bikes. Honda Hasnt seemed to change alot of cosmetics on this up coming 2006 line. Do they have something behind the curtains, or ....?

I actually like the new 2006 ninja 650R. Has some old school cosmetics but they flared it up a bit. Also it's geared towards new riders, just a bit pricey. If I remeber correctly the msrp for the ninja was 6k+. Doesn't the r6 kinda look like a RR or maybe it's just me...

I saw on the net somewhere today that Honda is putting a lot of work into this new bike thats an automatic!!!!! Looks funny but I am sure that people will buy it regardless. Here's a little info for ya.
Honda Previews 680cc Automatic-Transmission Motorcycle at Tokyo Motor Show
680cc Honda DN-01 Tokyo Motor Show automatic-transmission concept motorcycle is headed for production.Honda's next generation of automatic transmissions for motorcycles will greet the world in the 680cc V-twin.

Honda's Tokyo Motor Show booth will include a new 680cc automtatic-transmission motorcycle that Honda says will be put into production. The DN-01 is powered by a 680cc V-twin, and uses a hydraulic mechanical continuously variable automatic transmission with two automatic modes and a manual six-speed. Shifting is accomplished using handlebar buttons. Honda says the automatic shifts smoothly enough to avoid possible traction problems while cornering. A lock-up mechnaism improves efficiency and fuel economy. The motorcycle's designation indicates that it is the first model developed in Honda's DN (Dream New) program.

Yea Yamaha Has already got this on the new FJR1300AE. There is no clutch it is all, it is controlled by buttons on the handlebars. But for some reason i think automatic trans on a motorcycle kinda defeats the purpose of having a motorcycle. thats just me though

its like buying a sports car with an automatic...just plain wrong...they shoould stick to sedans and auto bike riders can stick to scooters. no offense to anyone with an auto sports car, sedan, or scooter as you are a member on the forum which is a step in the right direction..and possibly own a cbr which voids all other not so awesome means of transportation...
