Ducati pulled out of AMA and WSB cause of the new displacment of the 1098.

 

The 1098 is going to be bad ***, I can't wait to see how it fairs against the inline 1ks. I am skeptical about it being faster ina straight line, but I could be wrong.[8D]

 

They are still in WSB check whatBayliss set the fastest laps during testing on. Second they pulled out of AMA because of them not being able to compete. They are revamping that team and said they would be back in 08. MV Agusta is coming to play this year. So we still get one itailian to run in the fleet. Ducati is potentioning to the WSB and AMA to allow the 1098 because the V-Twins are down on power...I guess at that level they feel they are down on power. I hope to see them back in AMA. I think we all need to see triumph come play with the other 600's every one is nutting there pants on this thing. I dont think its so hot myself and I believe it would do anyhting but triumph in the sereies. but I could be wrong lets see them try to prove me wrong

 

Bummer, I just bought my bike...If I would of known of the new Duc coming out...I would of got that....Nice bike...I guess Duc is trying to get that whole 916 era back.....

thats a sweet bike but the 07 cbr1000 repsol is a bad a$$ id take that over the duc just my personal preferance

That's exactly what they wanted to do, bring back the 916....here the 1098 is called "La Vera Erede" ( the "Real Herit" )
Btw tried last weekend at the dealership....it's a fantastic bike altough I could just shift first and second gear around a small track[8D]
