Daytona vs mainstream (Yam, Kaw, Hon, Gix)
Anybody know anything about the Daytona 675's? I looked them up, and theyre cheaper than any standard 600 supersport. Even the special edition (which i think might have a few engine diffs and other than that the paint and all) is cheaper. I have a friend who's brother has one and says it's a sick bike.

RE: Daytona vs mainstream (Yam, Kaw, Hon, Gix)
Hey guys, first post. Funny that I found this one because the two bikes I'm considering are the 675 Daytona and the new CBR1000. It's suprisingly so, because I'm considering a transition from the "Holy Grail" or sportbikedom otherwise known as Ducati. While I will saidly miss my 996 (yup...I wrecked it in the canyons), I will probably NOT miss the insanely high cost of ownership. Nothing like spending over $6k in 1.5 years on maintenance and replacement parts!
Anyway, I can land a used 2006 Triumph 675 Daytona for about $6k OTD, and can probably land a CBR for about $10k OTD (if y'all know of a better price here in SoCal, LET ME KNOW!). The only other bike I've even considered is a Buell 1125R, simply because of all the features the bike has at its pricepoint...which I can also land at about $10k OTD. Suprise, the Buells aren't selling like hotcakes.
My question is to those who've ridden the DaytonaAND the new CBR. Can you tellme which bike you liked most and why? Thanks in advance for youropinions.
