batt not holding a charge!!!

Default batt not holding a charge!!!

02 r1 a new batt was installed about a month ago rode the bike yesturday morning started up no issue. This morning the batt is dead i have a trickle charger or batt maintainer should i leve it pulgged up when bike is at home?? It stays inside the garage and its not really cold here

stator is shot ?
left your heated grips on ?
battery was on the shelf too long ?

no heated grips and i dono about the battery being on the shelf to long
How to test the stater?

well check the voltage with the bike off , then start it and check the voltage again , the voltage should be slightly higher while running

It has been on the maintainer for a couple hours its reading 12.5 turn the key on fuel pump primes drops to 12.2 start it it goes back to 12.4 12.5

what's the voltage at 4,000 rpms?

If it stays at 12.4, 12.5 when the bike is running the stator or Rectifier is no good.

If i slowley increase the rpms it will go up to 13.0 at about 6k rpm's

At 4k rpm's it is at 12.9 13.0

it's not charging.

on a cbr, it'd be you r/r, stator, and or a bad connection. not sure about an r1.
