Liablity and Comprehensive cover a person from the liablity standpoint (you hit them [person], or property) and comprehensive covers vandalism, fire, or theft.

The difference with full coverage is that full coverage does what the above states, but also covers your bike ir you get into a wreck. Thats the only difference between the two. Liability and Comp will not protect you if you get in a wreck. Hope it helps

No problem. I actually didnt know that until a few months ago (whenI started shopping around) The reason I didnt get full coverage is because it cwould cost me almost the same for a year on insurance as it would for a new bike!!Ripp off!! HAHA

Don't forget that if you are financing the bike, the bank will require you to have full coverage - even for a used bike. I use state farm, 500 deductible, full coverage, 450/yr...

I have full coverage through American Modern. I pay $37/mo, $447/yr. That is for my 20 year old bike though. I had a quote on an '06 GSXR for $74/mo, $894/yr. So that is not bad. I am 21, no tickets on record, but like 3 accidents, 2 at fault, 1 not. I am also in Texas.

Call Atlas, they are the agents in the same building as AM.

If you buy a new bike from Honda, Honda doesnt require full coverage on anything under $10k . Thats what I was told but the salesperson.

i know how suzuki works. the financing is a credit card, not an auto loan. have you ever had to have insurance on something you bought with a CC, no, because you still have to pay. if you total your bike, you still have an $8K credit card bill. not sure if honda is the same, but im sure its similar. thats how my cousin bought an '06 GSXR 1000 then let his friend run it into a guardrail with no insurance, guess who has a $10K credit card statement?
