No judgements... I'm just wondering which is more popular... to get a loan for a bike (from a bank or anywhere else) or to save up and pay for it outright?

I know there's lots of other factors like it may be absorbed into home loan equity, or are mods counted, or any number of other things... it's up to you how you see it.

I put 1800 down and went with a 4 year loan. I got the bike in january of 05 and will have it paid off in the next 2 months.

My rule is toys gotta be paid for with cash -- includes mods and accessories.
