For you Central Floridians - Benefit Ride for fallen Polk County Deputy
The Polk County Sheriff's Office and area motorcyclists will hold a "Matt & Diogi Poker Run" on Nov. 19. Proceeds will benefit the family of slain Deputy Matt Williams and the memorial fund established in his name.
The run will start at Chalet Suzanne, 3800 Chalet Suzanne Road, Lake Wales. The first bike will head out at 9:30 a.m. The run will end at the USA International Speedway in Lakeland.
Following the run, riders are invited to participate in a memorial ride to The Music Ranch, 1920 Banana Road, Lakeland. There will be live music sponsored by 97 Country, barbecue, prizes, and drawings.
Riders can register early or the day of the event from 7 to 10 a.m. at the start point. Entry fees are $20 for a rider and $30 for a rider and passenger.
