Default Yay! I lowsided! :-)

Yeah, I know. Strange saying "Yay!". But I'm fine, Yolie is mostly fine and its out the way

I was going about 35 MPH and took a right. Front tires just slid out. Either because of sand / dirt. Or those ****ing crosswalk paint Philly loves. Yolie slid from the turn, with me still on, till she hit the curb and hopped up onto the sidewalk. Good news: the tip over sensor works fine!

So lets talk damage Not too sure when the the slider bent, while sliding or when she hit the curb. But bend it did

I'm betting curb No fault of the slider. Was doing its job till that point and prolly said "Screw it, I wasnt meant for this". I really should a bought those case savers though.

Gonna need some help on how to remove that with the bolts ground down. And gonna need a new one. It's weeping oil very slightly. Axle slider did its job though

Couldn't save the turn signal I'm afraid. And the right mirror stalk is extremely loose.

Prolly going to need a new mirror and definitely a new turn signal. Exhaust took a hit too. Not gonna bother with that though.

It's minor and mostly hidden. Here's the worst damage though

*sniff* I loved that jacket and those jeans! The jeans are Shift Kevlar reinforced btw. The hole is in the non-reinforced part. But at you can see was sliding on my knee and thigh. Most disturbing is this but not for the reason you think...

I'm pissed! Just yesterday I was at Revzilla to buy some T-Pro Force field limb tubes! But they were out. That's mostly just a rug burn and my shin did take a shot from something. And if I had the limb tubes, it'd never had happened. Even worse, I got an email this morning that they're now availible!

So that's it. Y'all got any suggestions holla up. Gonna have a few beers and go pull my F4i outta storage to see what she needs. Yolie is grounded till I get that case fixed at least

Damn it is so sad to see a beautiful bike like that messed up. Especially since you just got it. Luckily you are okay and the damage doesn't look too bad. Hope you get it fixed up quick.

Glad to see you're ok. Damage to the bike looks minimal and should easily fixed. I'd try left handed drill bit to see if you can grab the ground down bolt, maybe center punch it first. Heal fast fellow rider.

Glad it wasnt worse and that youre ok.

If you can get that cover off, it will leave the bolts sticking out enough to get on them with vise grips. If they are not loctited in, they may just unscrew. Check to see if you can wiggle the broken bolts before you remove the cover. If theyre loose, cut a notch in them and take them out with a screwdriver.

yeah damn thats a shame but at least youre ok and it could definitely be worse and hopefully shell be good as new in no time. Go to autozone or napa (or online) and pick up a bolt extractor kit, should be able to back out those case bolts with that. Then just replace your turn signal and sliders and itll be like it never happened.

If you get bored you could always sand down those scratches on the exhaust then polish it. Might not look brand new but itll definitely look better, i did it to my jardine midpipe on my f4i and it made a huge difference.

Damn, dude. The good news is you have an excuse to get some woodcraft goodies as replacement for that crankcase cover.

Glad your body's good... live to ride another day.
BTW, your pitbull stands shipped yesterday (took a bit longer than expected), you should see 'em Monday or Tuesdayish so you can break 'em in while massaging your baby back to health.
